CashCompass is a personal finance management application developed and maintained by Mahesh Jadhav. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, how we protect it, and your rights regarding your information.
CashCompass uses Google Sign-In for secure authentication. We receive only the information provided by Google after your consent. Your Google password is never accessible to CashCompass.
CashCompass uses Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore and Firebase Cloud Messaging (if enabled) to authenticate users and synchronize cloud data securely.
Camera permission is requested only when you choose features requiring image capture or document scanning. The camera is never activated without your action.
Microphone permission is requested only when you choose voice input features. Audio is processed only after you explicitly start recording.
Notification permission is used only to send reminders, payment alerts and finance-related notifications.
If enabled by you, biometric authentication is used only to unlock the application securely. Biometric information never leaves your device and is never stored by CashCompass.
CashCompass may use Google's Gemini AI to provide budgeting assistance, financial insights and personalized suggestions. Only the information required to generate the requested response is processed.
If enabled, your profile information is securely synchronized with Firebase Firestore. Financial backup files created by the user are stored in the user's personal Google Drive account in JSON format. Only authenticated users can access their own cloud data and backups.
Your information is retained only as long as necessary to provide the services you use or until you request deletion, unless retention is required by applicable law.
CashCompass does not sell, rent or trade your personal information. Information is shared only with trusted service providers required to operate the application, such as Google Firebase and Google Gemini AI when AI features are used. We do not share your personal information with advertisers.
We use commercially reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect your information. Although no electronic storage method is completely secure, we continuously improve our security practices.
CashCompass is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
CashCompass provides an in-app account deletion feature. Users can permanently delete their account directly from the Profile → Delete Account option inside the application.
Deleting your account permanently removes:
If you have previously created backup files in your personal Google Drive using the backup feature, those files are not deleted automatically because they are stored in your own Google Drive account. You may delete those backup files manually from your Google Drive at any time.
This action is permanent and cannot be undone. If you experience any problem while deleting your account, please contact us at dhanishatech@gmail.com.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will always be published on this page with the revised effective date.
